The Abbey Room
Whether you’re looking for a wedding reception venue, a space to party or a conference venue for up to 250 delegates, the Abbey Room is the perfect space for you.
A light and airy space, the Abbey Room has a stage, a basic PA system, large windows and access to the garden. There is a hatch into the kitchen from which refreshments can be served, or where a fully licensed bar can be provided if required.
There are dividing doors which open up into the Islands Room, which when combined, give a seating capacity of 320.
The Abbey Room is available to hire hourly or alternatively for full and half days.
The Abbey Room has a number of benefits for conferencing and large presentations, it is fitted with a projector screen for presentation purposes and for a small charge the room can be setup to your requirements.
The centre’s layout is ideal for conferencing where breakout sessions or a change of layout is required between presentations. We offer a number of smaller spaces (see other facilities pages) and the café area is a perfect space to break out and allow the room to be changed over.
For special occasions such as parties and weddings, the Abbey Room gives you a number
of options, having enough space to create a large sit down dining format all the
way to a huge dance floor. The ability to move easily to the garden and through to
the café is also of benefit allowing guests to enjoy some outside space or a quieter
area without leaving the event. The hall can be easily decorated and basic room
setup is available for a small charge. A fully licensed bar is available as are
